No one new today...  Here's a look back...

Late last year I was going through all the puppets we have stored at 

Elmwood's studio.

Doing a big cataloging and sorting...  Needed to be done!

While doing it I was also looking for puppets to be reused and repurposed for future projects, or sold on Etsy to help fund future projects.  

And then there are these guys.  These four puppets were among the original dozen or so puppets I made.  They were used in a series called "It's Late Enough With Plink!" that was for local cable access.  It never really went anywhere.  

Most of the rest of the dozen have been torn up and made into other things, or just didn't survive the years...  Except the original Sojive!  He's still here too, hahaha...

I decided to give them to the puppeteers who brought them to life all those years ago.  But wanted to make sure they got preserved.  So I mounted 'em like dead animals!  Hahaha!

I have no idea if they just tossed these in closets when I gave them to them, or if somewhere that are on proud display.  I just know it felt right to send them to new homes...

This is Ricky...

 But I usually call him Rick...

Rick has been a part of the Elmwood crew for a few years..  He's spent most of the time being the conservative ying to my liberal yang and he's always been on the same page one as me.

Page one is MAKE GOOD WORK.

I'm glad and grateful to have gotten to know him over the past few years....  And yes, I can be a bit protective on him.  He needs it some times, hahaha

Anyway...  This guy has helped me and Elmwood grow, and get better.  

And everyday I am happy and lucky to call him part of the crew.

He turned 30 yesterday...  And holy cow, that is amazing.   

He is braver than most people I have ever met...  But that's a whole other story for another day..

Today, the day after his 30 birthday, he is still Rick.  Ricky...  My friend, my partner.

And I'm glad to have him in my life.

What a blast.  What a turnout.  What a nite!

"The Risley Brothers" is a comedic story of Wes and Quig, who have just re-opened their father's defunct bar. They are doing their best to keep the place respectable in spite of the local looneys, crazy ex-girlfriends, a visit from the Devil, and even their own bad habits! 

Hartford Flavor Company is the parent company of Wild Moon, a line of unique, flavored liqueurs made of all natural ingredients. Visit our production facility & Tasting Room as part of the nite! We worked our butts off on this one, and I really hope to see everyone laughing at the screening!

I made the base of the puppet, then Rick did the finishing touches to make the portrait of John...  Then the hit the road to Ohio to give it to him!
