Adventures In FacebookLand... Sometimes It Gets Creepy!

So weird, and funny...  So felt like I had to share...
Since HEAD has come out I get a few new Facebook friend requests a week from folks I've never met, or have no other relation to other than they are aware of my name because of the film, or Elmwood...
And I really do think it's cool how the world can reach out to each other and connect because of the internet!  Some of the people I've had contact with are amazing, and I love it.  It's great to connect and converse, and learn and play...  And I love connecting with people who like our work!
But I was getting so many requests on FB, and with all the scams, bots, I wanted to make sure I was really getting requests from real people, so I started sending a message to anyone I didn't know explaining that they would have to give a me a little more info before I accept the request.
Most folks reply, and are totally understanding.  And I usually then accept the request...

Once in a while I get shit like this though...
He replied with "You're welcome"
And I let him have the last word.  What's the point of going on further with a creep like that.

So, yup.  I have no brain because I didn't want to wear slippers during a puppet show.
Man, I wish I had a brain.
As soon as I got the third message I knew I was dealing with something weird...
So I did a little research on the guy who sent this to me...
Yeah, he's a known perv and creep.
Not surprised.  It's a strange world.
Be careful folks!

And I don't even own slippers.

The Muppet Movie - 40 years!

"The Muppet Movie" changed my life.
Sounds crazy, but its true.  At 4 years old a whole new world opened up to me.
I was already a Muppethead.  But seeing that movie, in the theater in 1979, opened my eyes...

This is somebody's job.  And I bet they love it.

So here I am, 40 years later...  A puppeteer, puppet maker, and film maker.  It's a great life.  And I love that I get to share it with so many other people.  Thank you!

The Muppet Movie is coming back to theaters this weekend and next week...  Special screenings for the 40th anniversary. If you've never seen it on the big screen it's pretty amazing.  I'll be there!  Can't wait!

In 2006 Elmwood Productions was still just getting started, and we've come along way since then! From 2006-2012 we sporadically created a web series called "Steve the Vampire" that was the beginning of us getting some real attention. We've moved on to other characters and films since then, but continue to love our little Steve! 2020... Steve comes back! Until then catch up with Elmwood's early work and
