2/15 - Come Celebrate My Birthday with a "JOSH AND TODD" Screening!!!
Join us February 15th at The Desultory Theatre Club in Torrington for a screening of our feature film "JOSH AND TODD: THE STORY OF A MAN AND HIS PUPPET"!
Plot Overview:
What would you do if you woke up one morning to find a monster has moved in with you? Well, this is what happens to Josh. And not only does the monster Todd move in, but he also causes complete havoc on Josh's boring life. Josh's girlfriend can't take it and leaves, his friends think he's going nuts, and all Todd want's him to do is loosen up for the first time since childhood and have some fun...
The doors open at 7:00 PM, and the movie will start at 8:00! "Josh and Todd" is 80 minutes.
The film is rated R - so you get to hear puppets and people say all those four letter words we all love, and even some puppet nudity!
It's a 5 buck donation at the door to get in!
Following the screening the filmmakers along with members of the cast will be doing a question and answer session on micro-budget filmmaking, working with monsters, and other things that went along with making this film for those interested.

A Puppet A Day? Maybe A Puppet A Month….
That was the original intention of this blog…
To post a puppet a day for 365 days. And I did it.
Since that first year ended I have posted puppets I've built since then, just not on any timeframe.
What I love about the blog is that it has grown into more…

With the new year I'm going to TRY to get back to a schedule this year of puppets… I'm going to try for two a month, on Saturday nites.

To shave or not to shave part 2… Shaved mostly
A couple days ago I lamenting about getting my beard/mustache all covered in coffee as I drank my morning cup. It was so long with every sip I would be soaked. Hahaha… I was just going to trim up the mustache to keep it out of the way. And I also debated shaving it all off. Bic it gone. I didn't end up doing either. Then last nite I watered the awesome Christmas tree. Then a couple hours later I went to go to bed, and brush my teeth. And found pine needles in the beard. I had no idea they were there.
So this morning as I made coffee I got out the clippers.
Here the before picture, my hair was almost at a Gallagher stage too!
And here I am now…
With coffee in hand and so fresh and so clean...
and now off to making puppets…

I remember getting this mug well. It's apparently going to snow tonite and it got me thinking about winter…
It was January 2001. I had a rough fall and holiday season and needed to get away for a bit.
So without telling anyone I went to Florida. I was sick of winter, sick of Connecticut.
By the end of my first day there I was in a rented car from Tampa and on my way to Disney, where I got this (huge) mug. AFTER finding an apartment.
A month later a was a resident of Florida
A year and a half later, I was back in Connecticut.
I still don't like winter though!
I say it from time to time… I'm glad I went, be even happier I came back!
